- New account waiting periodJAL's rules say miles may not be redeemed for up to 60 days after you enroll. Transfers in still work. Posters report Bilt and Capital One transfers shortening that to about 7 days, and some Bilt users booked the same day; Citi transfers into new accounts in Sept 2026 hit the 60-day message. Open the account well before you need it.
